'We can NOT be the new adults': Embarrassing comment section has Gen Z grieving their generation becoming millennial

It's a hard truth, but we all have to accept it at some point: there will come a point in your life (if there hasn't already) where you will become cringe. When your generation ages out of being the flavor of the month, this can happen in a way that's both fast and harsh, and it is something that Gen Z are inevitably going to feel more and more in the coming years as Gen Alpha starts to come of age.

Arguably, it is something that they are already having to come to terms with as evidenced by a recent Twitter thread full of Zoomers despairing at their incoming uncoolness. The prompt for this was a comment section on a TikTok, filled with already dated-looking Gen Z in-jokes and slang. While the outlook might feel bleak to some, there could be a bright side. If you stick around long enough, you might see teenagers start to wish they lived through this era.
